President’s Column By Stephanie Daniels
Greetings from myself and all of the trustees of the IBC. It is once again time to get to work on making our beautiful little piece of splendor on the lake in good order. The good news is we finally have decent parking. To the north of Inglewood Hill there now is a parking lot. We have worked on getting that open for years. It would be best if we all used that parking first, and walked down to the trail through the parking lot. Our boardwalk trail is in need of repair, there are several projects we will address. We need volunteers or we will hire someone to get the projects completed. Some of the pro-jects include a new storage shed, new swim line and mark-ers, revamp the entry board, shore up our rockery, and freshen up the gravel. There is a WORK PARTY scheduled May 19th.
Some of these projects must get started sooner then that. If anyone would like to help out with our beach please contact any board member.
While we are asking for volun-teers, the board is short one or two people. Dale Young unfortu-nately had to resign; we are now run-ning with one open position which needs to be filled. Being on the board is really quite fun. The meetings are once a month, we plan for new pro-jects, deal with maintenance, membership issues, financial plan-ning, and generally look after our beach and have a good time doing it.
Our annual meeting is set for June 2nd. The new keys will be available in mid to late April, please pay your dues and be SURE to fill out the membership form. Without a membership form we cannot process your membership, or send a new key out to you.
It is worth repeating to ask for your help in volunteering. We have found that new energy and new blood are part of what keeps us moving forward. Don’t be shy if you are interested, please speak up!
Volunteer Report by Carl Berg
Dear IBC Members,
Hello Fellow Beach Club Mem-bers this is my volunteer report.
Last year was a touch different with the construction finishing up and parking issues getting resolved. Looking forward to this summer I hope that you all will be as excited as I am about enjoying our shared asset. With this gorgeous asset comes a touch of responsibility that we all need to look into.
Keeping our beach as enjoyable as it’s been and increasing the value and beauty of it involves volunteer work. This is not a bad thing but a great way to get to know some neighbors and help make the beach a great place to hang out and enjoy the incredible summers that we have. A new storage shed is one goal of ours that needs a lead person to make happen. Other areas of volun-teer work that always needs attention are basic mainte-nance, gravel spreading, spring cleanup, and a lead for Sunday Bar-B-Ques.
A strong plea also goes out to anyone who would be inter-ested in being a board member, if interested contact a present board member prior to the an-nual meeting. Please be in touch with your board members for ways in which you can be involved, their contact informa-tion can be found on the web site. Carl
